Whenever you want to just hit something unarmed without using a specific power, you'd resolve that as an attack with a Damage effect ranked equal to your Strength, with a range of close and instant duration. As others have mentioned, in the PHB, your best ways to boost unarmed damage are going to be Monk or the Tavern Brawler feat. You can also take Fiery defence, to cloak yourself in flames and damage those that strike you. It also grants you an extra use of stunning fist.
